The certification

Meet the Standard. Prove you did.

The AEO Standard is free, and you can meet all 49 requirements on your own. Certification is for practices that would rather have it audited, done, and proven by the people who wrote it. We check every requirement, close every gap, and stand behind the result with a public listing and a badge for your site.

The version we do for you

The Standard is the map. This is us walking it with you.

A specification tells you where every requirement is. It does not write your answer pages, reconcile your record across the web, nest your structured data, or check that any of it holds up against a regulator. Certification is the audit and that work, done by the people who wrote the requirements, ending in something you can show a patient or a client.

AEO STANDARDCERTIFIEDV1.0
The proof

A mark that means something, because it is hard to get.

  • A seal for your own site, footer, or waiting room, linking back to your listing.
  • A public entry in the AEO Standard registry, which the engines can read like any other citation.
  • The version number on it, so a patient or client can see it is current, not a sticker from three years ago.
  • One per market, so it stays a differentiator instead of wallpaper.
How it goes

Audit, close the gaps, certify.

STEP 01
The audit

We check your practice against all 49 requirements, engine by engine and record by record, and score every one. About a week.

STEP 02
The gap report

You get the full report, numbered to the Standard, whether or not you continue. It is yours to keep and yours to hand anyone.

STEP 03
The work

We close every gap: answer pages, record and directory reconciliation, structured data, compliance review. Done for you.

STEP 04
Certification

When every Must is met, the practice is certified against version 1.0. Certified for the work done, never for an outcome we cannot control.

STEP 05
Listing and badge

You go in the registry and the badge goes on your site, both stamped with the version and the date.

STEP 06
Yearly re-check

The engines move and so do your details, so the certification is re-checked every twelve months to stay honest.

The engagement

One engagement. One seat per market.

Questions

Asked before, answered plainly.

What does certification actually get me?
Three things you keep. A practice audited against all 49 requirements and brought into conformance, so your site, your record, and your structured data all agree. A public listing in the AEO Standard registry. And a badge for your own site that says, in a form a patient or client understands, that an outside party checked and it holds up.
How is this different from the free Standard?
The Standard is the specification, and it is free to read, adopt, and cite. You can meet all 49 requirements yourself and never pay us a cent, and the document says so on its own page. Certification is for practices that would rather have it audited, done, and proven by the people who wrote it than do it in-house.
What if my practice fails the audit?
Almost every practice fails the first audit, because the Standard is strict on purpose. The audit is the start of the work, not a pass or fail gate. You get the full gap report either way, and the engagement closes the gaps. You are certified when the work is done, not before.
How much does certification cost?
There is no list price, because the scope depends on how far your practice starts from conformance and how big it is. We quote the engagement on the first call, once we have seen what closing the gaps actually takes. What does not change: it is one practice per market, it is done by the people who wrote the Standard, and for a regulated practice, being the named answer is worth many multiples of the fee in a single year.
Do you guarantee I will be named by AI?
No, and we would not trust anyone who did. Nobody controls which sources an engine chooses. What certification proves is that your practice meets every requirement the Standard says gives you the best honest chance, audited by an outside party. We certify the work, never the outcome.
How long does it take?
The audit is quick, usually a week. The implementation depends on how far your starting point is from conformance and how fast your side can approve copy and access. Most practices are certified inside eight to twelve weeks. We scope it honestly on the first call rather than promise a date we cannot hold.
What is market exclusivity here?
We certify one practice per specialty per market. We cannot honestly certify two rival practices in the same city as both meeting the Standard and expect either badge to mean anything. When the certified seat in your market is taken, it is taken, which is part of what the badge is worth.
How do I stay certified?
Certification is re-checked every twelve months, because the engines move and so do your details. Re-certification is included while you are on Visibility Management, which keeps the work current month to month. If you would rather maintain it yourself, standalone re-certification is available and priced on the renewal.
Who does the work?
We do. The people who wrote the Standard run the audit and do the implementation. No outsourced content mills, and no junior handoff. The person whose name is on your certificate is the person accountable for it.

The Standard is free. The proof is earned.

Read the requirements, adopt what you can on your own, and when you want it audited, done, and certified, the seat in your market is either open or it is not.
